At All Saints, we are proud to have our own Student Worship Team. This group typically meets with Jordan, the Uttoxeter Christian Schools worker, every Wednesday to discuss ongoing projects and initiatives.
The Worship Team plays a vital role in our school’s spiritual life, taking on a variety of responsibilities. These include assisting with the organisation and delivery of Collective Worship by reading scriptures and writing prayers, planning and leading their own worship sessions for the entire school, participating in end-of-term services, and reflecting on how our school can contribute to helping others.
Throughout the academic year, the Worship Team attends Worship Team Days, held in collaboration with other Church schools within our Trust. These events, often hosted at local churches such as Renew Church and St. Mary’s in Uttoxeter, provide students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Christian faith, often in relation to significant liturgical seasons such as Christmas or Easter. These gatherings enable the team to partner with other schools to develop dramatic worship presentations, write joint school prayers, explore new churches, and participate in creative activities. In June 2025, the Worship Team will also attend a Worship Retreat at Dovedale House, along with teams from across the Uttoxeter Learning Trust.
This year, the Worship Team is focused on the development of an outdoor prayer space that will offer both staff and students a place to pause and reflect during the school day. Additionally, the team is exploring ways to support both local and global communities through service and outreach initiatives.
